Kiddi Caru Whiteley Care for the Environment

The preschool children at Kiddi Caru Whiteley learnt about the environment and how we can do our bit to help. They decided to look into Recycling and how we can re-use items instead of throwing then away. Then, the role play area was turned into a recycling centre. With the help of books and pictures, the children decided which items went into which bin. We discussed how to reduce waste and carried out a compost activity, the children filled plastic bottles with soil, leaves and left over food waste from the kitchen and watched and recorded the process and effects of decay.
