Kiddi Caru Matford Guide Dog Visit

The nursery has a strong relationship with the local Guide Dog association. So, the children are very lucky to receive regular visits from the dogs and their handlers. The preschool children learn about the importance of ‘gentle hands’ when petting the dogs, giving them space and respect. They also discussed the pets they have at home, what they eat and how they help to take care of them.

These activities help to expand the little ones understanding of the world around them, caring for others and being safe around animals. All whilst in a secure and familiar environment.
