The team introduced the concept of dental hygiene and looking after the health of our teeth. The best way for children to understand and learn new skills is through play. So, they read ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ story and explored the different foods the caterpillar eats. They also discussed whether they thought the food was good or bad for us and our teeth. Following on from this, the children practiced using tooth brushes to clean images of teeth, as well as the dolls teeth.
