About Our Nursery
Early Years Curriculum
Our Early Years curriculum is inspired by the Hygge and Curiosity Approach, with a strong focus on learning through play. We follow in‑the‑moment planning, allowing our team to respond to children’s interests and support their development naturally and confidently. Children also benefit from regular Forest School sessions, encouraging a love of nature. These experiences help children grow in confidence, resilience, and independence while developing key life skills. Our preschool programme supports school readiness by building communication skills, emotional wellbeing, and a positive attitude to learning.

Our Team
Our friendly team is at the heart of our nursery. We are proud to have passionate, long‑standing staff members led by an experienced Nursery Manager with over 16 years in the childcare sector. Our experienced staff includes Highly qualified Early Years professionals, an experienced Level 3 SENCo practitioner and staff members completing apprenticeships and developing their careers in childcare services. Each child is supported by a key person who builds strong relationships with both children and families, ensuring consistent care and individual support.
Parent Partnerships
We believe strong parent partnerships are essential to children’s development. Our nursery has a dedicated family area in the hallway offering a clothes swap section, a breakfast bar for busy families, and a comfortable space to meet with staff and ask for advice. Our nursery app allows families to stay closely connected with their child’s day, sharing real‑time updates, photos, and learning moments throughout the week. We also host regular parents’ evenings to discuss progress, development, and next steps.
Playrooms
We offer four bright and well‑resourced playrooms designed to support children at every stage of Early Years development. The Robins Room (babies) has separate areas for physical play, feeding, and sleep, Squirrels Room (older babies and young toddlers) has free flow access to their own garden, Daffodils Room (older toddlers) is a warm and cosy environment with garden access and the Preschool Room is situated upstairs, with dedicated areas including loose parts play, an indoor sandpit, a cosy den, and an emotions station.
Outdoor Garden
Our garden is a huge highlight of our nursery! Our exceptional outdoor play area is a real hidden gem. Each age group has their own garden with age‑appropriate resources, alongside a large shared garden for all children to enjoy together. Children also use our yard area for Sow & Grow activities, learning how to care for plants and explore the natural world. The original outdoor stables are used all year round and include an art studio and a large sand play area.
Food and Nutrition
Our nursery chef prepares delicious, nutritious meals fresh on site each day. Meals are designed to support children’s health, wellbeing, and development, helping them build positive relationships with food.

Activities
Children enjoy a wide range of enriching activities including Sing & Sign and Boogie Mites to further their Early Years education. We also follow core Educational Programmes such as Make & Bake and Sow & Grow every week so each child has something that they are proud of to take home.
Community Outings
We see the benefits of taking our children out into the local community. That’s why we take our children to the local park, on nature walks, to feed the ducks, to the market and more! Each time we go out on our adventures, we see our children become more confident and see them learning something new! We’ve created a culture that encourages exploration and building local community connections.
