Sing & Sign

Our Nursery Open Day 2023 will feature a sneak peek into some of the programmes we have on offer, including Sing & Sign, designed to support the development of babies’ and toddlers’ early communication skills.

This is done through simple keyword signing, paired with normal speech, which can enable your little one to let you know their wants and needs more effectively.

Preparing children for life

With great connections to local schools, our nurseries provide the perfect stepping stone for your child to excel on their educational journey.

At our Nursery School Open Day, you’ll see how we prepare each child, helping to build their confidence with the end goal always in mind – ‘big school’!

What can I expect to happen at a Nursery Open Day?

At our Nursery Open Day, you’ll get to see for yourself what a typical day at Grandir UK looks like. The morning starts off with a big warm welcome from our team.

Your child’s curiosity and creativity will be encouraged, as you explore our range of activities and educational programmes, which can help to develop communication and writing skills.

There’s also time to go outside, but not before encouraging your child to put their shoes on first. Routines are developed throughout the day, such as washing hands before meals.

There’s a dedicated nap room where your child can re-energise, alongside nutritional food prepared all day, and plenty more activities to explore in the afternoon.

Are the facilities suitable for my child who has additional needs?

Grandir UK is an inclusive and safe space for children of all abilities. We ensure each little one has equal opportunities, and their learning plan is catered specifically to bring out their unique potential. Alongside our wide range of activities, we have state-of-the-art sensory rooms with calming stimulation from lights, sounds and discovery – something every child can benefit from.

What help can I get with childcare costs?

Funded childcare is offered by the government to help families with the cost of childcare. All families in England have a Universal Entitlement to 15 free hours of childcare a week for 3 and 4-year-olds. Tax Free Childcare and the rest of the government’s funded childcare schemes have a certain eligibility criteria.

At Grandir UK, we enable our families to stretch their funded hours out across 51 weeks of the year, using less hours a week, rather than limit you to the 38 week term time structure. Your little one can start their funded place the term after.

What qualifications do the nursery staff have?

At Grandir UK, we are proud to offer great career opportunities and progression to our staff, which is why we have training courses and ongoing development plans. All our staff are fully qualified to Level 3 in Childcare or higher, and those who are not yet fully qualified are either apprentices or are well on their way to securing their Level 3 qualification.
